Objective:
I want my 4th grade students to become Native Americans and find out what it was like for them. They are to go on a journey and once they have travelled through history, I want them to write letters to their folks back home and describe how life has been on their journey.

Task:
Take notes on each of these links. Also, click links from the original sources and follow them to gather as much info as possible to be able to write a 2 page, double spaced, descriptive letter home to your folks about your travels. You must assume a Native American identity. Authenticity is 1/8 of the final grade.

Teacher Help:
This webquest is as simple or as difficult as you decide to make it. Incorporate this quest into your Social Studies unit on Native Americans. Having your students become someone from history that is still present today, has a powerful impact. It allows the student to see life from another perspective. This in itself is a fantastic learning tool that will be remembered for a lifetime.
